Lil wants to help her friend by delivering her cupcakes around the town of Thamesmoor.
Can she get all of the cakes delivered on time and in one piece?
Milo goes to the seaside
Milo has always wished for a day at the seaside but has always got lost on his way.
Can he finally have the day he has always dreamt of with the help of his friend Billy?
My review –
Both the books in the Red Hatch Campers Series written by Rachel Jane and illustrated by Jamie Flack, are absolutely adorable. They tell the tales of 2 happy go lucky Camper Vans – Lil and Milo in a rhythmic fashion which can be musical to the ears if little sound effects are added.
Lil’s story of cupcake delivery is sweet and charming. Milo’s story is adventurous and fun. The illustrations are extremely attractive with bright yet soothing colour schemes.
If we could have laid our hands on these books a couple of years earlier when Dhruv was obsessed with vehicles, these books would have been a part of our everyday bedtime reading routine for weeks together. And, I would have definitely written a post about our reading experience even without the author asking for a review.
Have I not yet said I am swooning over Lil and Milo?
I am. I am completely gushing over them. In fact, these books make to my list of all-time favourite picture books for 3 – 7 year olds. These would have been an instant hit in my storytelling sessions back home in India, of course, subject to availability there.
Not meaning to ramble anymore, I am sharing a few pages from the books. Have a look at them and tell me how can you not love them.

My verdict –
In case I have not convinced you enough to go for these books then please go add them to your bookshelves, read them aloud to your little ones, gift them to other young children and you will have happy little faces to witness.
There is a 3rd book coming out soon in the same series – Tallulah goes to the Festival. I am going to have a hard time waiting for its release.

Oh these are so adorable. Though D is kinda over the picture book stage now. I will mostly likely pick them up for a friend’s kid.
