Thank you, Archana. Have you seen these flowers before? Please tell me more about them. Are these really bananas in the making?

I think these are a variety of Heliconia. Mostly ornamental plants and the colourful structures are bracts of the flowers which are inside it. I have seen these in gardens but they are not native to India.

I have never seen anything like this. I did not even realize that these were any kind of flowers until Archana pointed out above in her comment. To me, it seemed like there were numerous colourful birds perched close to each other on thin branches.

I would really love to know what kind of flowers those are. I don’t think they are the banana flowers I am familiar with (but I have only seen one or two types). These are so beautiful!

These are flowers and I have seen them often in Bangalore. If you visit Lalbagh, they are in abundance and look beautiful. Thank you for joining, Anamika. So glad to have you around.

I have seen these flowers for the first time. I have come across pictures of plantain/ Banana tree before but not flowers. Well, we don’t have these trees here in this part of the world where I live. Thanks for posting it here!
