Innocence….
is a childhood’s treasure
No device invented
To get its measure
Landscaped in the eyes
Portrayed on the face
In every action & question
Depicted in full embrace
It leaves me to ponder
When did I loose mine
As far as I remember
I bore it for a long long time
This made me smile and feel sad at the same time.

This poem made you smile…its my pleasure. And for the part which made you sad I would say this is life where when you loose something you also find other things and one of those other things is poetry, isn’t it? I shall pray for you ‘May your soul rediscover peace’.
Thanks for stopping by here.

Yes, that is true. Very true. Poetry was something I found when I lost everything else 🙂 Hopefully I will find peace. Thank you

Unsure, what sort of emotion was evoked. However, I loved the way you portrayed it. As one individual grows up, the innocence of the childhood is lost. But then, until and unless the innocence is lost, one will never mature to be an adult. Loved this one.

Thanks Ajay. Yes it is true in order to become a mature adult losing innocence is inevitable.
